Scarlett is the Co-Director of Knowledge Generation for the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU), based at SYSTEMIQ. She has authored a number of flagship publications including “Growing Better: Ten Critical Transitions to Transform Food and Land Use”, “The Future of Nature and Business Policy Companion”, “and “Accelerating the 10 Critical Transitions: Positive Tipping Points for Food and Land Use Systems Transformation”.
Scarlett also works with a number of standards bodies to raise the bar on corporate action on climate and nature. For example, she sits on the Steering Committee of the Science Based Target Network Land Hub, working to develop science-based targets for land occupation and transformation. In the past she has advised the UK Government in the set up and technical development of the Voluntary Carbon Market Integrity initiative (VCMI), the Science Based Target initiative on the Net Zero Standard development, the Race to Zero UN initiative on offsetting, carbon removals and claims, and the Carbon Disclosure Standards Board on their guidance on biodiversity disclosures.
Scarlett has a Ba (Hons) in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London.
