About us
We Are
We’re a dynamic and international community of researchers and practitioners that are passionate about tipping points. We provide the latest scientific updates on the proximity to global climate tipping points and risks in the biosphere and societies. We also identify opportunities for accelerated climate action through positive tipping and convene coalitions of partners to implement positive tipping points.
Our Aim
Our aim is to facilitate constructive dialogue between policymakers, researchers, opinion leaders and experts, to foster a greater understanding of tipping points risks and their potential impact. We also explore designs of governance structures and international policy processes that account for tipping points and help navigate toward a thriving sustainable future.

In September 2022 we held our first conference that covered the latest developments in both negative and positive tipping points, at scales from local to global, and from theory to practice. It considered the risks from climate tipping points and opportunities for positive tipping points for different regions, communities, sectors, and supply chains. We then produced the first authoritative global report, launching the Global Tipping Points Report at COP28 in 2023. In July 2025, we hosted a second conference and the Global Tipping Report 2025 has just been published.. Find out more about our conferences.
